
Kathy Price was born and raised in Franklin, Wisconsin. She was a member at St. John’s on Oakwood Road. She attended kindergarten at St. Paul’s in Franklin, and grades 1-8 at St. John’s. She attended Shoreland Lutheran High School, where she played sports, was in choirs, and accompanied choirs and chapel services. After graduating, she went to Doctor Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota, to become a teacher. She graduated in 1984. She was assigned to Waucousta Lutheran School in Campbellsport, Wisconsin. She taught grades 1-2 and 3-4 while there for 10 years. After this, she served for three years at Immanuel of La Crosse (grades 3-4) and three years at St. John’s in Red Wing, Minnesota (grades 3-4). Her present call at Zion sees her teaching third and fourth grade, assisting as girls’ athletic director, playing piano for services, and helping with school music and chapel services.
Kathy has a younger brother who is a strategic account executive at OptumRx. Her sister-in-law is a teacher and choir director at Northland Lutheran High School in Wausau. Kathy has a nephew attending MLC and a niece attending Northland. Her godson, Josh, is a retired Marine and plays softball with the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, hiking, listening to music, and watching sports.
