This week we studied an appropriate message for Mother’s Day — 1 Samuel 1:1-28 — under the theme “Hannah, an Example of a Godly Mother.” In this section of Scripture, the Lord shows mercy to Hannah and demonstrates his power by giving her a son. Hannah’s trusting openness to God’s Word, and the blessing she received, encourages us to trust that God will also deal with us according to His compassionate love in Christ Jesus.
