Today is Palm Sunday, the start of Holy Week, in which we celebrate and thank God that Jesus entered Jerusalem as the King — not to receive the crown but first to go to the cross for us and for our salvation. Supporting us in our worship is Viking Steel from Wisconsin Lutheran High School.
Today we celebrated Palm Sunday in our worship service, and our sermon focused on the theme “Let’s Run.”
This is Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week. It is the most intense week of our Christian Year. “Hosanna!” is the shout of praise so familiar to Palm Sunday worshipers. It literally means “Save us, we pray!” — and 2000 years ago, Jesus was riding into Jerusalem to do just that.
