
Sonja Olson was born in Wisconsin Rapids. In 2008 she moved to Milwaukee and attended Luther Prep in Watertown. After graduating, she continued on to Wisconsin Lutheran College where she earned her degree in early childhood education with a minor in adaptive education. She began her teaching career at Zion in August 2017. She spent the 2021-2022 school year at another school in the area, and then accepted the call to return to Zion as the first and second grade teacher in 2022. Her favorite part of teaching is watching students grasp challenging concepts.
Sonja has one older brother who serves in the United States Navy, and one older sister and brother-in-law who serve in the United States Air Force. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, crafting, and reading.
Her favorite Bible verse is Psalm 16:8 – “I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
